The Quick Guide to:

Dancing Ledge

What is Dancing Ledge?

Jutting dramatically into the sea along Dorset’s famous Jurassic Coast, Dancing Ledge offers stunning views from England’s famous Southern coastline.

The flat-topped sandstone ledge also hints at tales stretching across millennia thanks to the many ammonite fossils hidden within the stone beneath visitors’ feet.

Part of the allure lies in imagining those who’ve graced the Ledge through time immemorial – miners, fishermen, smugglers, fossil-hunters, swimmers seeking secluded coves, and hikers awed by the vistas.
